Our Late Winter Bird Survey will take place on Saturday, February 28th at Harrison-Burr located in Burr, TX, Wharton County. This survey averages between 60-65 species observed, including a variety of late-season waterfowl and resident Bald Eagles.
Birders of all levels are welcome but please be aware this survey covers moderate to difficult terrain, averaging 3 miles for a duration of 3.5-4 hours. Distance and time can vary depending on the pace of the group and activity seen. No fee to attend, however sign-up and a liabiity release waiver is required.
Gates open at 7:15am for our early birds, with the hike scheduled to start promptly at 7:45am. We ask that you please arrive at least 10-minutes prior to hike depature.
