JBH Student Air Rifle Team
The James B. Harrison Foundation is excited to announce that applications will open this summer for its JBH Homeschooled Air Rifle Team - through the Student Air Rifle (SAR) Program.
The Student Air Rifle Program is a nationally recognized initiative designed to introduce youth to the lifelong sport of target shooting while promoting positive youth development, responsibility, and enhanced educational performance. Participants will receive instruction in basic firearm safety, the 11 Steps to Air Riflery Success, and will take part in structured live-fire practices, with opportunities to compete at the local level.
Students selected for the JBH Sharpshooters team will gain valuable skills in discipline, focus, and safe firearm handling in a supportive and educational environment.
Program Details:
Season: Fall – Wednesdays, August 12 through November 18
Time: 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM
Location: Harrison-Long Point Ranch
Eligibility: Home-school students residing in Fort Bend County
Age Requirement: 4th grade (minimum age 9) through 12th grade
Program Fee: $25 per participant (includes pellets and targets)
Participants are encouraged, but not required, to purchase their own Umarex Embark Air Rifle.
Spots are limited.
