Youth Camping Procedures

The James B Harrison Foundation offers tent camping opportunities for select nonprofit and youth groups, such as local Boy and Girl Scout Troops. We do not offer camping opportunities for individuals. In order to provide the best experience for our visitors and to protect the Harrison Properties, we have implemented the following Camping Procedures:

  • A minimum of 30 visitors, with no fewer than 7 adults, is required to move forward with a camping reservation.

  • Primitive - tent - camping only is allowed. Campers or motor-home RV’s are not permitted on the premises.

  • A liability release waiver is required of all visitors, both youth and adult, attending your event. Our waivers are available digitally and can be completed online prior to your scheduled event. A direct link to our e-waiver will be provided. If a visitor does not complete our waiver then they will not be permitted to attend the campout on Foundation land.

  • If your organization includes The James B Harrison Foundation as an Additional Insured on your organization’s insurance policy, then the liability release waiver mentioned above will not be required. The James B Harrison Foundation must receive a copy of a certificate of insurance prior to the event with us listed as an Additional Insured in order to exempt our waiver requirement.
